Due to his PTSD, Jake sometimes doesn't leave the house for weeks on end. He doesn't feel comfortable in unfamiliar places surrounded by strangers but staying inside all of the time isn't good for him. I try to get him to go out and do something with me every week or two and he's usually pretty receptive because he loves to be outdoors exploring nature. Yesterday we went to Bandon, Oregon to have lunch and explore. Although it was absolutely beautiful out, the wind was howling but that's okay. We walked around Old Town Bandon, got chocolates and candy from a local sweets shop, Jake tried some chowder, and we explored a cute little beach area.
ahh these pictures make me miss the beach! Glad you guys got to enjoy windy bandon :)

ReplyDeleteI took my camera and my phone. The last 3 photos are from the iphone. I find the iphone kind of mutes colors a bit, but in a pretty way.

ReplyDeleteIt's in the 60s, which seems cold to everyone else but is pretty nice for coastal Oregon weather. I had to put my jacket on because the wind was coming in off the ocean and it was just freezing. We wanted to explore a little longer but left early because my ears started hurting really badly from the wind blowing in them. Next time I'll remember to bring earplugs or headphones.
Deletewow the water looks sooo inviting but i know better. it is freezing! i love the beach so so much, we haven't gone surfing in over a month, this time of year kinda sucks, no big swells so no waves but it doesn't mean we cant hang out at the beach! i think this weekend we are gonna head to the coast either way! looks like you guys had such a great time!
