The Deadliest Catch.

Do you guys watch reality t.v.? It seems like that's all that's on nowadays. I'm more of a Criminal Minds kind of girl myself, what can I say, Reid is a freaking heartthrob. When I feel like being disturbed I watch that show about hoarders but mostly it just weirds me out. One reality show I do enjoy watching is Deadliest Catch. Last week the Discovery Channel aired the season 7 premiere and I pretty much already hate the new captains, especially the one who looks like he's wearing guyliner. I've never been a fan of that trend.

Anyway, one of the major reasons I like Deadliest Catch is because I can relate to it in a way. My brother manages the company that built the Time Bandit, a boat on the show, and he actually helped build it. He's a super duper awesome welder guy and builds and works on lots of cool fishing boats. His birthday was a few days ago, happy birthday bro!

You would think that 7 seasons of basically the same guys doing the same thing in every episode (catching crab) would get old quickly but somehow it doesn't. It's fun to watch these men interact with each other. They definitely get cattier the longer they've been out at sea and a lot of them are related to each other so you have their family issues as well.

So maybe the next time you can't agree on what to watch with your guy you can compromise and try out Deadliest Catch, it's oddly compelling.
