Cata Release.

Hello world, sorry I've been MIA. You see, Cataclysm came out on the 7th and Jake and I went and stood in an absurdly long line at GameStop to pick up our copies at midnight. We haven't been seen since. No search parties please, we've returned, and yes, it was everything I'd hoped it would be. Cata is awesome! It's so fun and makes the game feel brand new again. There is so much to do I didn't even know where to start. So I went to the brand new underwater zone and got a seahorse mount and rode my seahorse around at 450% mount speed. Hell yeah!

Sidewalk Art.

It's summer, time to bust out your sidewalk chalks. This guy, Julian Beever, takes it to a whole new level. His drawings are awesome. It's crazy to me that he would take the time to imagine and draw it all out on random sidewalks knowing that it will be destroyed. You can see more here.

I love waking up to an email from etsy, perusing, and finding a gem. I saw this pic and about died laughing. For those of you going to some type of cosplay thing, you now know where you can get an Elven Lord outfit, from etsy seller LadyFaire. She makes apparel from different "dimensions" to help "facilitate your journey." bahahahaha

Male Choir A Cappella Lady Gaga Awesomness

This is an all male choir called On The Rocks from the University of Oregon singing Bad Romance by Lady Gaga a cappella. It's pretty good and their dancing made me laugh so hard.

Happy Star Wars day my friends! I'm going to honor this important day in our culture's history by watching Empire and drinking a beer. 

What's for dinner?

I detest cooking. I have no patience for it and it drives me insane. I feel like it's a waste of time. This has, in the past, led me to eating applesauce for dinner everyday for two weeks in a row. Anyway, when I do decide to cook I can't figure out what to make. Today I have found my answer thanks to the people over at reddit. They linked this website What The Fuck Should I Make For Dinner. Its first suggestion was spiced roast chicken breast, I then informed it that "I don't fucking eat meat" and it suggested grilled eggplant and sweet pepper sandwiches. Yum! 

Super Mario Crossover.

I'm playing Super Mario on my computer all day long but as Link from Zelda instead of Mario. This is the best day ever! Go HERE to play. You can also play as Mega Man or several other characters. 

Regretsy.

Umm what the hell is this other than super creepy? Pretty sure these manillows make me want to vomit. 

Thanks to my friend Angela I just wasted an hour of my life at Regretsy. I did laugh a lot though, the author kind of reminds me of myself. We both possess the ranting gene. 

Etsy has some wonderfully talented artists and crafts people who make really cool stuff but there is a lot of crap on etsy too. I mean, really bad pieces of crap I would never spend any kind of money on whether it be real or monopoly. This site compiles and makes fun of all the crappy crafts on Etsy that people are actually trying to sell. I love it! 

Axe Cop Again.

I'm still in love with this comic. Eef made this fake movie trailer for his comic and some people in Hollywood have contacted him about making an actual movie. Please view this video to help him out, it's really short and completely awesome. 

Axe Cop

Back in high school there was a local band who rocked called Lunar Active. They were nice guys and had basically the only live shows around, they comprised the entire local music scene. One of them, Eef (Ethan) is a very talented artist. He wrote an Eisner Award nominated graphic novel called Chumble Spuzz. 

Lately Eef has been, in his free time, drawing the ideas of his little brother Malachai, who is 5 years old. Malachai's story turned into Axe Cop which Eef has been posting periodically on his facebook page but today it went viral. It was featured on Reddit yesterday and Entertainment Weekly today. His website crashed from so many people visiting it but all the issues have been worked out. 

Everyone should check out Axe Cop as it is really fun and completely hilarious and awesome. I mean, with characters like Uni-Baby (a baby with a magical unicorn horn) and Bobber and Gobber Smartist (they eat only candy canes) how could you go wrong?!

Lobos

My sister and I were shopping at H&M today and as we were exiting the store we walked past this super sweet wolf shirt in the men's section. I just had to try it on. I'm thinking about going back and getting it in a men's medium or large so I can make a wolf sweater dress. Wolves are pretty sweet and this is the reason why, be sure to read the comments!

The Guild

For months now my friends have been asking me if I've ever watched the web series The Guild. When I tell them no, they recommend it to me, highly. I was at mom's the other day and Rob had it on dvd so we watched the first 3 episodes. I was laughing so hard that I literally fell off the couch. If you're a huge gamer this show relates to you in so many ways. I found it especially hilarious as I just very recently started a guild with 5 friends. 

If you have time, watch an episode. They're only 5 minutes long. 

(500) Days of Summer

I have been impatiently waiting since the release date of July 17th for this movie to come to my town. I saw the previews back in June and couldn't wait to see it. I'm not a big movie theater girl but I'm so glad I went, I'm completely enamored. It is an instant favorite, it helps that it stars Zooey Deschanel who is one of my girl crushes but even without her, it's amazing. It's interesting and unpredictable and random but at the same time somewhat linear. In the beginning the narrator informs you that it is not a love story, he's correct and incorrect at the same time. I would highly highly suggest going to see this. 

Also, the soundtrack rocks! I went home and immediately downloaded it from itunes. Two of my favorites on the soundtrack are Us by Regina Spektor and She's Got You High by Mumm-Ra. So good!
