Yesterday I shared about the things I will miss about Weiser. Aside from being near loved ones, most of the things I'm looking forward to revolve around having options and a larger selection to choose from. Weiser is such a small town, there is one grocery store, a limited number of restaurants, a limited number of everything. So here are some things I'll be excited to have in my life again:
- A grocery store that sells things other than Western Family brand at a decent price.
- Beer. I'm sorry but Coors Light does not count as beer. I can't wait for Ninkasi and Rogue on tap!
- Being able to eat out if we choose. The restaurants here are all pretty terrible unless you want a salad bar or hamburger.
- Intelligent conversation. Not to say that there aren't intelligent people here, I'm just sick of people starting conversations with me assuming that I have all of the same values and opinions they do.
- Dance classes. They only offer children's classes.
- An actual real library that has current books.
- Not having to drive into the next state to go to the craft store.
Tip: If you're into beer, try The Abyss by Deschutes, it is fantastic!

ReplyDeletehehe yea coors light does not count, it is basically water. here in our shit little town there is no place to get good for you food. the only place we have is sushi, it is the best but can be pricey but worth it. i need a place that has good food, organic grocery that i can bike too without being run over all the time and people who actually care about the community they live in.
