Today is Monday, our last day in Weiser, Idaho. We're both exhausted and aching. We moved all of our stuff into a trailer my dad brought on Saturday, then we promptly took a nap on the floor. Sunday was for cleaning. We took lots of breaks. Mainly because cleaning sucks. I got a bloody nose from breathing in too many fumes from the cleaners. However, I can tell you with full confidence that our house is a lot cleaner than it was when we originally moved in.
Our landlords come today to do a walkthrough with us. I hope they recognize how nice their house looks and give us our full deposit back. Today is also for finishing up little errands like forwarding our mail and having the utilities shut off.
Tomorrow we will be making the 11 hour drive to Coos Bay, Oregon with our 3 cats and 2 dogs in tow. I have to drive the entire way because Jake's driver's license is expired. At least we finally have a working ipod for those stretches of Eastern Oregon where there are no radio stations.
This is all I have the energy to write for now. I can't wait to make it to our new home. My little niece is there visiting and is in dire need of some Auntie Jordan time, I just know it!
It's only Monday by like 8 minutes...and You really are a late night blogger :P
ReplyDeleteONE HOUR and 8 minutes. You're in a different time zone. :)
Deletegood luck sweetie! i am not sure what the renters laws are in idaho but here in sf, the renters have a ton of rights. the only reason that you wouldn't get your deposit back is if something horrible happened, like punching a hole in the wall and didn't fix it. but things like normal wear and tear and other issues like that are normal so most likely you will get it. sometimes they charge a cleaning service but if you kicked ass at cleaning then it should be no problem.
