Jam Night.

I have creepy, delete red eye, eyes.
Jake and I have been going to the Crescent Bar on Thursday nights for jam night. It's somewhere around 10 hippie looking guys rocking out on their acoustic guitars, bass, tambourines, banjo, and drums. I don't play any instruments aside from when I was super awesome back in my trumpet playing days (you know, middle school). I brought my crocheting and worked on a blanket while Jake played guitar. It was really fun because they just play whatever song pops into their heads and if they aren't sure how to, they work together to figure it out. It's really cool seeing a group of people helping each other, sharing ideas and advice, and learning from one another.

The streets of downtown, deserted at night.
I tried to get photos of the outfit I wore (it's pretty much the only thing I've worn all week that wasn't boxer shorts and a tank top, it's ridiculously hot) but because jam night doesn't start until 9pm, it was already dark out and Jake couldn't get the camera to work correctly so the pictures came out dark. I wore a simple navy dress with white polka dots and a ruffled collar and red velvet ankle boots. I was really bummed that the only pictures that turned out didn't show my boots off.

I took a photo once I got home and learned that my mirror really needs to be cleaned. I can't begin to explain to you how happy I am that I can braid my hair again. Last Spring I cut off 23 inches for Locks of Love and have been waiting very impatiently for just over a year now for it to grow back. It's not even close to it's original length but at least I can make braids, which is my favorite quick hairstyle!

Oh, and I think I just might have to learn to play guitar so I can participate too. It's not like we don't have enough of them around the house.
