I'm feeling a little discouraged trying to find a home. Jake and I both want to leave Utah and are trying to find a home in or around Eastern Oregon, we're cool with Western Idaho too. The towns we're looking at are small country towns and there aren't a lot of rentals available. When I look at the towns that are a little bit larger, all I find are boring subdivision houses. Some people really like them because they're nice, new, and large. They're just not my style. I prefer houses with a little more personality, odd nooks, and a vintage or country feel. The rentals I do find that aren't in a cul-de-sac tend to be really small, which is okay with me, but Jake likes to have a lot of space. We're making the six hour drive to check out houses in a week and I really hope we're able to find something so we can leave Utah as soon as possible.
