Damsel In The Dress: Tiny Flowers & Turquoise.

Dress & Cardigan: Target, Moccs: Ruche
I figured we should take some pictures to showcase not only my outfit but the beauty of middle of nowhere, Idaho. I got this dress the other day and it's covered in little tiny flowers, my favorite. I had to pick up a cardigan to keep myself warm and to fend off the freezing wind that just appears from nowhere in Idaho.

In the future I'll wear a belt over this outfit to avoid the baggy cardigan look.

I lost a hand to the cardigan but at least you get to see this big ol' hay field and a couple cows. I wouldn't want to deprive you of that.

I love these little turquoise moccs. They make me so so happy!

Isn't this gorgeous? Freezing cold and icy, but gorgeous.

Damsel in the Dress.

I dislike having to take photos indoors, it makes me feel so awkward but it's too dark outside after work to get any useful photos. This is what I wore to work yesterday. I like to wear bright and colorful outfits when I'm not feeling well. I thought it was nice, and kind of funny, that I was helping this old welder at work in the morning and after I finished his transaction he complimented me on how nice and colorful my outfit was, especially my boots. I couldn't help but find it kind of funny.

I love this skirt because my mom got it for me when we took a little day trip together to Florence, Oregon once. I think I was still in high school at the time. Florence has a quaint little old town section, right on the water, full of shops and boutiques. This skirt came from a French themed shop. I love all of the colors in it and the asymmetrical hem. Today is my Friday since Veteran's Day is tomorrow. Yay! I'm so happy, I really need a few days off to rest.

Damsel In The Dress.

It's finally time to delve into the depths of my bottom drawer and dig out my tights. I love fall because it means I can wear tights and cardigans without having to pile layers of jackets on top to keep warm. I'm not positive but I think what I'm holding might be Oregon Grape Holly. I had never seen it before until I noticed some odd blue berries growing in what used to be the garden of the vacant home next door.

Damsel in the Dress {Interview Outfit}

I like to wear this outfit for job interviews sometimes but it's also perfect for fall. Brown is one of my very favorite colors to wear and I especially love pairing it with coral. I feel confident in this outfit, and feeling confident as you walk into your interview is what it's all about.

Tweed Blazer: Urban Outfitters
Polka Dot Blouse: H&M
Slacks: Maurices

I love this big maple tree right next to our house. I can't wait until the leaves start changing. It's going to be stunning!

Jake and I became "facebook official" yesterday. I had to laugh when I got home from my interview and saw I had a relationship status request. You know, a year and a half later. Too funny! I teased him that I was going to decline it.

EDIT: BAM! The outfit did it, I got the job! It's a part-time (which I was so hoping for, I really didn't want to have to work full-time) teller position at a bank!

Damsel In The Dress {Giraffe Style}.

This is my new favorite dress that I own. It is incredibly comfortable and doesn't wrinkle very much. Plus, it's covered in giraffes. So awesome. I really love this outfit because I feel good in it. The fabric is slinky and not clingy so I don't get too warm like I tend to do in other dresses. I like the length, it's short but not too short. I've never really been one for showing off my legs and this is about as short as I like to go. It's not that I dislike my legs or anything, I just hate the way shorts feel all bunched up between my thighs so the only time I show my legs is when I wear a dress.

Dress: Hot Topic (who knew they carried something that doesn't look like a lollipop threw up on it?)
Cardigan: H&M
Shoes: Ross
Earrings: Made by a dear friend

It also has pockets! Woo hoo! In my opinion, every dress should have pockets. I think it'd be cute with a thin belt but I don't have any. Maybe I'll make a crocheted belt...with tassel ties?

I love the back cutout. It's so fun and even when I'm wearing a cardi and nobody can see it, I still know it's there. It's like my sweet little secret.

Here is a closeup of the giraffes. I love the wooden look of the buttons too. They're not actually wooden though. I'm so happy to finally have a yellow cardigan. I purchased a mustard colored cardi a few years ago on the morning of my sister's wedding. It was getting kind of windy out so I told her she could wear my new cardi with her wedding dress as her wedding colors were yellow and grey. She never gave it back citing some rule about, "If you wear it on your wedding day, it is yours to keep forever." I never even got to wear the darn thing, not even once. This one is more canary yellow than mustard but I still like it.

Damsel In The Dress {7.27}.

This is one of my favorite shirts to wear. It's so flowy and comfy.

Shirt: Macy's
Skinny Jeans: Forever 21
Boots: Vintage, gifted from my Auntie
Necklace: coin necklace

Here are some out takes from our quick little photo shoot. I had gotten Jake some finger steaks so he wanted to hurry up and go eat them.

My face is glowing. I like it.

Cartwheels...

...and twirls.

Damsel In The Dress.

{Technically I'm not wearing a dress in this photo but I've decided to do a weekly outfit post, a damsel in the dress post. It won't always be on Wednesday but hopefully it'll inspire me to at least shower and brush my hair.}

I wore this outfit to jam night last week. I was joking around that I'm in my hippie vest, hence the peace sign. I actually really love this outfit because it's so comfortable and the only thing I paid full price for was the flowy vest which was from H&M so it was incredibly inexpensive to begin with.

Tank: Hollister
Vest: H&M
Jeans: Gap's clearance rack (these jeans are super comfy)
Shoes: Kenneth Cole via Ross
Necklace: Lucky Brand (it's hard to tell but the top pendant is a peace sign)
Bracelets: gold bangle - mini storage auction, leather braided - American Eagle, green stones - Lucky Brand

If I had extra money I'd definitely go shopping for some fun summer clothes. Luckily for me, I have plenty of clothes, enough to tide me over for another 10 or so years. Not that I won't buy more in the future. After all, who doesn't love a new dress every now and then?
