Time to Dig out the Umbrella.

{available here}

I started my new job 2 days ago. I'm training for at least the first two weeks, I don't know how long training lasts, we've only talked about the first 2 weeks so far. My first day was great, I shadowed my boss and got to meet lots of the regular bank customers who come in everyday to make change for their businesses. Tuesday was less fun as I had an online/teleconference class that had technical difficulties so I sat there for an hour and a half (I didn't have any technical difficulties) wanting to bang my head into the wall while everyone else tried to learn how to use the telephone. Hopefully the rest of the classes this week will go smoothly. You know how there is always one person in your class where you wonder about how they made it through life and you're especially baffled at how they were able to get a job? There were 2 of them in yesterday's class. So needless to say, I'm not really stoked on the idea of having class all week.

Yesterday was the first overcast day of the season. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain. I'm kind of excited because it reminds me of home a little bit. Living on the Oregon Coast is really an experience with 80 mph winds and sideways rain in the winter. I used to have to go around to the passenger side to get into my car after work because I wasn't strong enough to open the driver side door against all the wind.

My dad called me today to let me know his heel is broken in two places, somewhere on the back, and underneath. The doctor is sending him to a surgeon to get a second opinion on whether or not he needs surgery. The first doctor he went to is hopeful that they can just put a cast on it. I can only imagine how gross my dad's cast is going to be because I know he'll go straight to work afterward and it's only getting muddier and muddier on his job sites.

I signed up to do a craft fair at Jake's sister's work in December. I've never had a booth at a craft fair before so I'm kind of excited, I think it will be fun. I need to get to work making product though. I think I'm going to crochet some slippers and make some Christmas cards. Any other brilliant ideas? I could really use ideas.

  4. I HATE those trainings like that. Doesn't it just make you want to duck tape those people's mouth closed so they don't ask one more dumb question?? Haha, well I hope it goes by quickly. Glad you are liking it (as much as you can) so far!
