Supply Shopping!
Monday I went and picked up some new colors to make chunky cowls with. I like making them because I can watch something on Netflix and kind of zone out, I don't have to pay attention to what my hands are doing. I've been watching a lot of documentaries about food lately but I took a break this last week and have been watching Warehouse 13 and I immediately fell in love, such a fun show. I also bought a little piece of a pretty floral pattern fabric so I can jazz up one of my many many cardigans with that heart elbow patch tutorial Elsie posted last week. I can't wait, it's going to be so cute.
In other news, remember when I told you about how my dad wrecked his Harley and cracked his heel in two places? Well, he's been going to work even though he's not supposed to be using his foot until they decide how to repair it. He drives me insane sometimes. But as I was talking to him the other day he told me that one of the days it was hurting really badly and he was laid up in the house he, "actually had time to read a book." I asked what he read and he told me, "I don't know, I think it was one of yours, I found it in a drawer and it was called something 15." I immediately busted up laughing as I realized my Harley riding, contractor, man's man dad had read a Janet Evanovich novel. He started telling me, "that Lula cracked me up, always going around talking about being a ho." Holy crap, my 75 year old father just said ho and it was all I could do to not scream with laughter into the phone. I'm definitely not doing this conversation justice but it was one of the most ridiculous (and awesome) conversations I've ever had in my life.
