Growing up I was never that interested in horses, even though I had a couple good friends who were completely obsessed. Now that we live in a rural area, I see horses every time I go anywhere and I've got to say, they sure are pretty creatures. There is one house about a mile out that has a white horse and every time it's out in the pasture I can't help but repeat a little childhood rhyme and make a wish.
white horse, white horse, lucky lucky me,
white horse, white horse, bring this wish to me...
I had other photos to share with you but for some reason they aren't loading. *sigh* If I can get them to work properly, I'll add them later, they were so beautiful.
I think Pinterest is/was down! :( And oh my, these are gorgeous! Growing up, I was never the girl that wanted a horse or pony... I dunno why, considering I love them and all animals. So so much.
ReplyDeleteAs an adult, Jen and I worked for a seasonal job that did trail rides and every morning I'd go get us breakfast and along the way were the stables where our friend Laura worked. So I'd get to go in and play with, pet and get giant lovely licks from the horsies. <3 Ever since, I HAVE wanted one.
Whenever we go shopping, we pass by people with horses and I melt. I'd love to live on a ranch someday.
When I as a kid my net door neighbour used to deliver coal on cart drawn by a shire horse called Queenie. She lived in a field near the house and bit me on the chest once. Left a massive bruise, the big daft sod.

ReplyDeleteI am still terrified of horses, I don't care what nice things you can say about them. They're plotting my downfall.
ReplyDeleteSo cute, love them!

I want/miss horses because I grew up around them and it saddens me that I don't get to interact with them regularly anymore.
