My Plan: Learn to Quilt.
My sister and I have decided to learn how to quilt together, but separately this year. Together, in that we'll be learning at the same time and discussing it together, separately because we live in different states. We've been doing some research, scouring the web and books for information on quilting. There are so many different ways to do it. We found this great tutorial on Diary of a Quilter which covers everything from the tools you'll need, how to choose fabrics, and how to put together your quilt. I can't wait to get started. It's such a great excuse for a trip to the quilt shop, not that I need an excuse to wander and stare at the pretty fabrics.

you are amazing! doing all these new things.. i wanna be like you ; )
ReplyDeleteI've quilted a cross stitch baby blanket that made for my daughters... but I've never made a patchwork. I have a box of squares I made in middle school (more than 2 decades ago...ouch). They are badly sewn and crooked but I still hope to make something of them. BTW love your stitch samplers.
ReplyDeleteYou should visit Brooke's quilt shop that is in our house...that girl has WAY too much fabric anyway!
